Providence,RI

My host family decided to take me on a little vacation with them. The whole point of the trip was a wedding, of the nephew of my host dad in New York, and they had to take me because I couldn't stay anywhere here in Brunswick, so, I missed a week of school :)
Friday, September 20th:
Today, we went to Providence, Rhode Island. We stayed in a beatiful hotel called Omni Hotel.

I must say it's a great hotel, with king-sized beds in the rooms, TV's, luxurious bathroms, etc.

We also went to the center of the city and the mall and had an awesome time! Providence is a gorgeous city! 

I had a great time with my host family, and the trip improve my relation with them a lot.

AFS Camp!

Last weekend we went to Agaasiz Vilage, in Poland, Maine. I had such an awesome time! I met with my Brasilian friend Caio, and Thomas, an exchange student in Cumberland that come from Norway! 

I must say my social skill have been very poor since I got here, but I got some awesome friends, and I'm trying to make a lot more! I've know such a great people so far!

Also, I met Quang, from Germany  and Laura from Italy. They are both staying in Brunswick, and both going to BHS too.. They are very nice guys and I can't wait to grab a coffee in Little Dog with them!

Besides that, I had a very quiet week, and school is geting pretty heavy.. But I got a 94 in my first álgebra test, so I'm happy! Most of my classes are good! and I'm doing well in most of them. US History it's a bit tricky, but nothing impossible, luckily.

I also joined the outing club on Monday, and I can tell that I won't regret that! Hikes and camps, and mountains.. it sounds awesome already. Unfortunately, I'll miss the first hike of the year :( because of my Rhoad Island and New York trip :) 

I'll mis like a week of school, and the bad thing is that the week is Homecoming week, a senior tradition here in the Us. I don't know clearly what that is yet, but I've been told that there's a homecoming game in Friday of that week. And I already missed one soccer game! I'm looking forward to go to another game and get to know the team a little.

I'm very exciting to start a sport too. I had a lot of free time, and I hate that. I should have joined a sport, but nothing seemed right. I'm anxious for Basketball in the winter....:D

By the way, my host-dog, Max just got pee by a skunk and the house smells like skunk, so as my host-mom and dad. This is so funny! and is funnier because I don't stink luckily! I just love this family!

To conclude, I feel very lucky to be here, and to have all this forests around me. I can hike by myself wherever I want to!

I'm also very excited for tomorrow's trip, Rhode Island and New York!! :D :D

First day of school!

My first day of school was awesome! I didn't make a lot of friends,as I expected, but I met a few people. Teachers are so wise and so funny! This is nothing like Argentina. I choose Algebra II, US History, Service Learning Project, Guitar, Spanish :P, Graphic Desing, and English. I also have a study hall in my 5-6 period, and lunch after that. We have this crazy Black and Orange days, to organize our subjects.
Tomorrow I have my Black Day, and I'll experience the guitar class.I'm so excited for that!

Church

Today was my first day at church. It was very good. I mean, it wasn't what I expected, but it was quite an experience, and I'm planning to attend. Things are so different in that place, there's more energy and happiness than a regular catholic church, but I felt awkward too. Youth group was fun! I'm not into that "healing" thing, but I'm making a lot of friends already. The singin thing is not my favorite part tough.
To conclude, church was pretty awkward, but it's very fun, and I'm planning to attend. Youth group was also fun! All these new experiences are making me very happy! I'm learning a lot! and I'll start school on Tuesday, so I'm pretty nervous! I hope I don't get lost!
